Excellence Through Training
It is a critical operational objective of Chaplaincy Australia to provide our communities with well trained operatives. The different realms of Chaplaincy require various forms of interpretation and skill-sets to perform in the role suitably.
Take for example, the difference between a Chaplain placed in Emergency Services where Trauma Counselling and Crisis Co-ordination is required and a Chaplain to a professional sporting environment like the AFL where diverse communicative and ministerial skills are necessary. Two different forms of Chaplaincy with some cross-over yet distinctives that make for alternative training.
Different Chaplaincy governing bodies place different training demands upon their operatives. It is the aim of Chaplaincy Australia not to re-invent the wheel, and, where possible, work along-side these governing bodies to promote their training. We shall also provide our operatives with other general and specialist training on a regular basis.
