Step 4.Whether you have just stepped into Chaplaincy or have been involved in Chaplaincy for some time the ACC require its members to be commissioned (indemnified, recognised, subscribed and ordained) operatives.
A duty of care must be undertaken by the governing Chaplaincy body (being ACC Chaplaincy Australia) to maintain optimal standards in Chaplaincy. It is therefore necessary to undertake Credential interviews with the Applicant (you) and your Senior Minister at an appointed time during the week (Tuesday - Thursday, 9.00AM - 3.00PM).
As part of this process our office will:
- Send you a Chaplain / Chaplaincy Team Application Form
- Send your referees a Credentials Referee Form
- On application approval set a suitable interview date & time over the phone
You will be required to:
- Fill out the Application Form
- Return it with a current Police Check
- Include a cheque for $20.00 (application administration fee) to Chaplaincy Australia
- Include two (2) passport photos or (preferably) email a digital photo to your State Office
- Include two (2) referees names and contact details, one of which is your Senior Pastor or his/her representative
- Find a suitable time for you and (if possible) your Senior Pastor to attend the interview
The interview will take approximately 1.25 hours.
