Mark’s training seminars: making a difference in our communities Testimony by Ps Darryl Marshall – Rose City Church Benalla On Tuesday May 1st 2007, Mark conducted a Critical Incident Stress Management Seminar in Benalla. On the following Friday night Darryl’s son who attended the seminar took his girlfriend home from youth night, she lives on a farm out of Benalla. When they arrived they walked in to find an armed man raiding the house. His hands were shaking on the trigger, accidentally letting 2 fires off. It was intense. Darryl’s son remembered what Mark had taught him and immediately put it into practise, diffusing the situation where no one was hurt. The intruder ran out the door into the night across the paddocks. Eventually the intruder was found early hours on Saturday morning. Praise God no one was hurt. Darryl said, “Everything that was taught in the seminar was exactly right. Everything ended up ok. In relationship to the seminar it was replay mock of Marks seminar.” Darryl said he would highly recommend anyone to do it.” There were 48 police in total – swat squad from Melbourne including a dog squad, the police were amazed at how Darryl’s son had handled the situation. |
