Why should we talk about Guardrails and Mindsets?
It’s about what we have in place to protect ourselves: protect our minds, our hearts, our bodies, our families.
Are we intentional about those? Can we identify what they are? Are they sufficient? Is there something more we could be doing to ensure our wellbeing, and others, while we do what we do in life?
Are there behaviours we have, almost by habit or seemingly unknowingly, that are undermining our wellbeing or bypassing our current guardrails?
We’ll talk about all this, and more.
There will be moments of practical application with each participant able to consider this in a group but personalise it to their own context.
By the end of the session, hopefully, each participant will have the tools to create the guardrails and consider the mindsets they need (individualised) for longevity in their various roles and life in general.
Kerrie is an Australian Army Chaplain, currently serving at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane. In her time with the Army she has served in a number of units across Australia and deployed both domestically (Bushfires 2019/20) and overseas (Solomon Islands).
She was awarded the 414 Award by the Australian Army Chaplaincy department in December 2020. This award is given to a Chaplain nominated by their peers. Kerrie received this award for her “exemplary contribution to domestic operations, selfless inspiration and support of peers, and passionate and positive representation of Army’s chaplaincy”.
Prior to joining the Australian Army, Kerrie had 20 years of various church ministry related roles including Bible College Principal, Community Care Coordinator, Church Life Pastor and Pastoral Care Leader. In addition she has held two Chaplaincy roles: Mission Australia State Chaplain (QLD) and Queensland Police Chaplain.
Kerrie is married with two adult children and four grandchildren (who she may be mildly obsessed with)
