In a previous life as a Guidance Officer I worked in Western schools with primary and secondary students. My passion is to support school chappies who walka a finde line between being a Christian and abiding by the parameters of their job.
Recently I have upskilled in the DV area and the devastating consequences that all chaplains deal with is heart wrenching. The issue of grief and loss, particularly in the Aged Care area takes its toll, especially now that Voluntary Assisted Dying has been passed as law. As a CALM trainer I have a passion for working with those experiencing suicide ideation.
Life Bridge Community Chaplaincy is gaining popularity in South East Queensland and attracts people who may never have talked to a chaplain before and from all parts of Queensland who come into the city for medical appointments. What a great opportunity to share the Good News.
Within the last 12 months I have been ordained as a minister of the Wesleyan Methodist Church. This ministry has opened up the opportunity to mentor many more people.
