Dr Amanda Nickson

Recognised Supervisor

Amanda has over 30 years’ experience as a supervisor and social worker, choosing the profession of social work as a way to express her Christian faith.

She has supervised staff in a number of human services including in child protection, homelessness, domestic and family violence and the health sector. She has served on church boards and has provided support and mediation in various situations that arise with pastors and leaders in church life.

She is a supervisor with Scripture Union for Chaplains in schools and is an ACC credentialed pastor.

She currently runs her own business and consultancy and provides supervision to a number of chaplains and social workers in regional, rural and remote Qld, NT, NSW and Victoria.

She is passionate about good supervision being available to all people who work in churches as Pastors and leaders. She also conducts workshops / training  on such topics as Building Resilience.
