Recognised Supervisor

Jo is a recognised Supervisor with a keen interest in supporting others in the ministry and chaplaincy space.
Jo Patterson has been involved in pastoral care over many years. Although initially trained as a physiotherapist focusing on physical health, she developed a keen interest in spiritual health through her own faith and in various church ministries. After completing theology training and 2 Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) levels, she has worked in pastoral care/chaplaincy both in church settings and in the aged care sector. She is currently working part time as Pastoral Care Co-ordinator with HammondCare.
Jo’s experience in ministry showed her how vital supervision can be as she experienced the unique challenges inherent in the workplace as well as the positive benefits of support, reflection and encouragement. As a result, she completed training in Pastoral Supervision with St Marks, CSU and is a fully accredited Supervisor. Her areas of interest are using creativity to deepen insight and to encourage reflective practice in a supportive setting.

She is available in Newcastle area for face to face sessions or vial zoom, if out of area.
