Minister’s Chaplaincy Upgrade (MCU)
Minister’s Chaplaincy Upgrade is designed for Pastors, Ministers, and ministry leaders who want to build on their existing training, knowledge and experience. This three-day intensive—available either face-to-face or via live-stream, with flexible online assessments—is an accessible and practical way to gain foundational chaplaincy skills and qualifications.
The three units covered are:
- CHCCCS016 – Respond to clients’ needs
- CHCMHS001 – Work with people with mental health issues
- CHCCCS017 – Provide grief and loss support
These units form part of the full Certificate IV in Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care, offering a pathway for further study.
This course provides focused training in chaplaincy skills that will strengthen your ability to support your congregation, community, and your own personal wellbeing. It can enhance your ministry longevity and expand your leadership capacity.

This training is delivered by Chaplaincy Australia on behalf of Alphacrucis University College Limited (RTO 90525). AC is the registered training organisation responsible for issuing qualifications.
