School Chaplaincy Foundations (SCF)

School Chaplaincy Foundations is a short program that provides students with the three mandatory units required for base-level entry into school chaplaincy. This three-day program can be attended either face-to-face or via live-stream intensives, combined with online assessments that can be completed at
your own pace—making it an achievable way to gain valuable chaplaincy skills.

The three units covered are:

• CHCPAS001 – Plan for the provision of pastoral and spiritual care
• CHCCCS016 – Respond to clients’ needs
• CHCMHS001 – Work with people with mental health issues

These units are part of the full Certificate IV in Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care course, should students wish to continue developing their skills and qualifications.
This course is ideal for those starting their chaplaincy training journey. With content and assessments tailored specifically to a school chaplaincy context, it’s a great
